How much does going to the dentist hurt?

Discomfort with dental procedures varies, but one thing is certain: avoiding discomfort now may cause a lot more pain down the road. Dentists have the challenging task of doing vital work in a very sensitive area of the human body. At West End, we consider patients’ comfort just as high a priority as quality dental work. We don’t rush through visits. Instead, we ask how our patients are doing and, when needed, offer pain-alleviating options such as Nitrous gas. For more information, see our services page or message us with any questions you have.

How often do I have to visit the dentist if I brush and floss every day?

Visiting a dentist twice a year to have your teeth cleaned is recommended, and many dental insurance plans cover the cost for one to two preventative visits a year. Even if you aren’t covered, budgeting in two dental visits a year can save you both money and pain in the years to come. If you have more questions about your personal dental needs, message us here, or call (864) 546-6500.

How do I find the best dentist for me in the Greenville, SC, area?

We are just a little bit biased toward West End (Come see us already!), but generally, finding the right dentist for you involves taking stock of your priorities and asking questions. Is time off work an issue? Ask potential providers (or current patients) about average wait and appointment time. Is comfort a concern? Seek a provider who doesn’t rush through appointments, offers pain-alleviating options, and will respond to your concerns. Message us to find out more about how West End can meet your needs.

Do you accept insurance? Are you affordable without dental insurance?

Yes! Our accepted insurance plans are listed below. If you don’t see yours, message us to find out about filing options. We also accept payment via your HSA. If dental is not included in your plan, our procedures are of average cost for the Greenville area. We encourage budgeting for regularly preventive care and saving for dental emergencies because it saves our patients money in the long run. Still have questions?
